OCC Alfresco (25th St. closure)

During the Covid-19 pandemic, OCCP sought to help businesses that lacked outdoor space to serve patrons. Additionally, OCCP worked with the city to identify outdoor spaces in the area that could be used.  Both Sweet Elephant and Mother Muff's had limited ability to server patrons indoors and neither had an outdoor patio.  OCCP worked with the Office of Economic Development to close 25th street and create patio space for both businesses.  While the timing of the street closure was challenging in the winter months, the project proved that the OCCP and the city can work together to bring solutions to OCC.
